I enjoy helping new Marines, old Marines and civilians that want to become Marines. You’ll find a lot of stories on this site that document the life of a Parris Island recruit, the happenings at Marine Combat Training, and the start of a Marine Reservist career. This website is not sponsored by the Marine Corps, and I take personal liberty in discussing my life, my values, my faith, my family and my opinions. Beware 🙂
There are a lot of questions that people have about the Marine Corps, boot camp, training, MOS school, Marine Corps history and a lot of other topics. My goal is to answer these types of questions, or point people in the right direction so that they can find what they need.
I love God, my family, my friends, basketball, shooting guns, collecting knives, hiking, camping, bowling, video games, swimming, boats, running, physical fitness, graphic design, website design, photography, learning, writing, reading, and pretty much anything that involves adventure or competition. My ambition is high, along with my expectations for myself and those around me.
Becoming a Marine
My drive to become a Marine had many parts to it. Love of country and call of duty were probably the most predominant reasons, but my regrets for not pursuing college basketball played a role as well. I found myself saying “I almost” and “I should have” when referring back to past opportunities. I did not want to make that same mistake with the call I felt to join the Marine Corps. See more on why I joined in this article.
I was not your typical Marine recruit. I was 26 years old, married and joining the Marine Corps reserves because it was something that I felt called to do. The Marine Corps was one of the best decisions that I ever made and I could not have done it without my wife, who has supported me every step of the way. Without the support of family and friends, my entire training process would have seemed impossible to complete.
In This Website
In this website you’ll find a variety of topics being discussed. It sort of exemplifies how my mind works. Never one-tracked, always roaming, searching, discovering, etc. I’ll be discussing a lot of different Physical Fitness and Physical Training methods and routines that have worked for me, as well as my faith, politics, reviews, military, and life in general.
Join In The Debate
I do my best not to censor ANYTHING on this website, unless it contains hatred, is too vulgar to to be considered structured debate, or contains an abundance of curse words. I want everyone’s opinion and thoughts. Interaction is the key to this site, so feel free to jump in with your thoughts.
Questions, answers or comments are always welcome. Enjoy!
Thank you for your time and be blessed!
